MESSAGE: That is what Dr. Carlos is...Gracie's angel. He took on the task of caring for a puppy who was not supposed to make it through her first night here on earth and gave her the chance to have over 6 wonderful years. His compassion and desire to help this little one afflicted with hydrocephalis was truly overwhelming. He was relentless in his efforts to do the best that veterinary medicine would allow.
The staff at Valley Central went over and above in their care for Gracie and I am glad I finally found a way to let you all know how much your kindness was appreciated.
Gracie has been gone about 2 years now, but everytime I look at her picture I say a prayer of thanks to you for giving me the opportunity to have her be a part of my life. Hopefully her journey, and what was learned from it, will allow others to survive against the odds.

MESSAGE: A very big Thank You to Dr. Carlos Hodges for the great work he did for Dixie. Dixie came in on a Saturday night unable to move here hind legs, and we were told that she needed to have surgery to fix the problem in her back. It did not look good for Dixie, since she lost her deep pain sensation in her hind legs sometime Sunday night into Monday morning. Dr. Hodges sent her for a Mylogram on Monday afternoon and stayed late to operate on her Monday night. Before the operation he said Dixie had a 50/50 chance of walking again. Well with Dr. Hodges skilled hands she was walking again in 3 days! It has been almost 2 weeks now, she is getting her staples out in 2 days, and she is able to walk on her own without any help!
We cannot thank you enough for giving our little baby back to us and helping her walk again!
Words cannot say enough for how thankful we are to have you in the Lehigh valley!

MESSAGE: This an acolade for Dr. Carlos Hodges. When I called the
office and asked for the Dr. I never dreamed that he would be right
there, in person, and discussing the condition of my puppy. Dr. Hodges
called two vets in wyoming for me right away.
The kindness, caring and compassion he showed was incredible! Dr.
Hodges is truly an advocate for animals. I feel very fortunate to have
gotten in touch with a doctor with not only the most up to date
expertise, but someone who would go above and beyond what would be
expected from anyone.
The treatment for HOD is often difficult, but in 4 days I have seen
amazing results. It is slow but obvious. My little Oula is slowly
recovering and I believe with the right treatment and care she will
outgrow this condition.
Thank you Dr. Hodges, you made an unbearable travesty into a path of
recuperation.

Through your care and treatment plan we were able to keep our boy for at least three more years than we would have. On June 2nd we lost Clark to cancer but he gave it one hell of a fight! We were together for almost 17 years and I miss him so. At some point we will get another kitten but he will have some big paws to fill!

Thank you so much for helping Buddy and me get through a very rough holiday season. Although Buddy's bone marrow seem to stop making red blood cells and his future looked dim, here it is April and he's doing great! I am so concerned with stressing him out again that I will wait for his annual check-up at LVAH to have his blood work taken. I'll have them fax a copy of the results. It must be a miracle, but a miracle that never had a chance without your help. THANKS FOR LETTING ME KEEP HIM!
