Dr. Ronald Hodges graduated in 1987 from Tuskegee University School
of Veterinary Medicine. He completed one year rotating internship in small animal
medicine and surgery at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Hodges then accepted and completed a three year internal medicine residency
program at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon
completing his formal training, Dr. Hodges operated an internal medicine referral
practice in Philadelphia for six years and then became a founder of VCVRC in 1996.
He became Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine
in 1996.

Dr. Candace Carter graduated from the University of Tennessee College
of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 and completed a one year small animal rotating internship
at Rowley Memorial Animal Hospital in Springfield, MA. She also practiced
small animal medicine at Walbert Animal Hospital in Allentown, PA. After practicing
for two and one half years as a general practitioner, Dr. Carter completed a three
year small animal medicine residency at Michigan State University in 2002. She spent
one year as a clinical instructor at the University of Pennsylvania before returning
to practice in the Lehigh Valley at VCVRC. She became board Certified by the American
College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2002. Dr. Carter joined VCVRC in
2003.
