APPOINTMENTS
Appointments are seen on Mondays between the hours of 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. If your
cat is a good candidate for the Radioactive Iodine procedure the cat will stay with
us Monday evening and be treated on Tuesday. We ask that all new clients hand carry
their pets radiographs from the referring veterinarian.

DAILY UPDATES
If your pet has been hospitalized, we know you are anxious to receive an update
as soon as possible. The technicians are able to give the most complete information
after the doctors have done rounds and lab work has been completed. Rounds are between
8:00 AM - 10:00 AM, therefore we ask clients to call after 10:00 AM. After business
hour updates may be given by the emergency staff at (610) 435 - 5588.

TELEPHONE CALLS
Monday- Friday 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The technical staff receives numerous calls per day and will return your calls as
soon as possible usually within 24 hours of your call. Please leave a daytime
and evening phone number.

VISITATION
Due to the radioactive nuclides that are used the I131 unit is restricted to those
who are trained in the use and safety of radioactive materials. No one is allowed
to visit. We know and understand how difficult it is to leave your pet in the hospital
for an extended period of time and hope that our daily phone calls will help to
reduce some of the concerns you may have.

DISCHARGES
When your pet can be safely discharged, we will schedule a convenient time for you
to pick up your cat. A scheduled pick up time will allow us to prepare necessary
paperwork so that your wait is minimal. The technician will go over the discharge
instructions when you pick up your pet. Your referring veterinarian will receive
a copy of your cat’s discharge instructions so they can perform the necessary follow
up testing.
